Arrival at Antananarivo
Begin your Madagascar adventure with a flight to Antananarivo, the bustling capital city. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and history of this unique island nation. Antananarivo serves as the perfect gateway to the diverse landscapes and extraordinary wildlife that await you on this unforgettable journey through Madagascar.

Malagasy Rainforest Adventure
Today, your personal driver and guide will transport you from your hotel through the picturesque Malagasy countryside to Andasibe National Park, nestled at the edge of the rainforest. The journey will take approximately four hours. In the evening, you can embark on a guided walk to observe nocturnal creatures like the tiny mouse lemurs and greater dwarf lemurs. Additionally, keep an eye out for the unique leaf-tailed gecko and the indri, the largest lemur species inhabiting this national park.

Enchanted Madagascar Expedition
The following day, embark on a rainforest walk with your private guide to search for the area's rare lemur species. Among them is the indri, the largest lemur, known for its haunting cry that echoes through the forest. You'll also encounter grey bamboo lemurs, brown lemurs, and woolly lemurs among the lush vegetation, along with reptiles like the nose-horned chameleon and vibrant birds such as blue and red-fronted coucals. Your guide will help you spot these species and provide detailed information about each one.

Day 4
Lemur Legends and Forest Trails
On this day of your Madagascar holiday, we'll start with a 45-minute drive to Mantadia National Park, nestled in pristine, untouched forests. These forests are home to a variety of lemur species, including diademed sifakas, black and white ruffed lemurs, and the elusive aye-ayes, which are notoriously difficult to spot and only emerge at night. The hiking trails here are more challenging, so make sure to wear sturdy walking shoes.

Day 5
Lemur Encounter & City Discovery
This morning, visit Lemur Island to observe more familiarized lemur species, such as ringtails and indri. While these lemurs aren't wild, you can still see them up close in their natural environment. In the afternoon, embark on a four-hour drive back to Antananarivo, where you can either explore more of the city or relax at your hotel.

Day 6
Ile Sainte-Marie Adventure
Today, your driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning for the hour and a half drive to Ivato Airport, depending on traffic. From there, you'll take a one-hour flight to Île Sainte-Marie. If weather permits, you'll reach your hotel by traditional zebu cart in about 15 minutes or a 4x4 in five to ten minutes. Upon arrival, spend the day relaxing and soaking in the serene atmosphere. You can lounge on the beach, explore snorkeling opportunities, or unwind with a cocktail.

Day 7
Ile Sainte-Marie Bicycle Adventure
Spend the day exploring the tranquil island of Sainte Marie. Consider renting a bicycle to visit its quaint villages, cafes, and beaches. The shores are peaceful and often empty, with fishermen paddling out in traditional pirogues. Another intriguing option is a pirogue excursion to the island's pirate cemetery, where you can discover the graves of pirates who once used the island as a stronghold in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Island Diving and Snorkeling
On the second day on Île Sainte-Marie, indulge in snorkeling and diving adventures. Explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with whale sharks, eagle rays, damselfish, tuna, and various marine life species. The following day on your Madagascar holiday will be spent on Île Sainte-Marie. During the whale season from June to September, witness humpback whales migrating to Madagascar's shores to give birth. During your final day on Île Sainte-Marie, explore Ambodifotatra, the quaint island capital bustling with shops, a bank, and a small harbor. Returning to Antananarivo
As your Madagascar holiday nears its conclusion, on day 12, your private driver will escort you on a short ten- to 15-minute journey to the airport for your one-hour flight back to Antananarivo. If needed, you can arrange for a day room at a city hotel before your onward flight.
