History

Jeddah has been a major trading port for over 2,500 years and became the gateway to Makkah for Islamic pilgrims in 647 AD. It flourished under Ottoman rule, leaving behind historical mosques and souks. Today, it is one of Saudi Arabia’s most diverse and cosmopolitan cities.
