Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque - Abu Dhabi

History

Completed in 2007, the mosque was commissioned by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE, to symbolize peace and unity. It took 11 years to construct and incorporates materials from around the world.
