Land in Kilimanjaro

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to Arusha. Arusha serves as the gateway to Tanzania's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, and is a popular hub for Serengeti National Park visitors. It's a melting pot of global adventurers and offers ample opportunities for wildlife sightings. Spend your first day exploring the area, perhaps visiting the nearby National Park, before preparing for your Mount Meru climb starting the following day.

Momella Gate to Miriakamba hut

Today marks the beginning of the Mount Meru climb. In the morning, you'll be transported from your accommodation to Momella Gate, where our trek commences. We start early to ensure timely progress through open grasslands, ideal for sighting warthogs and buffaloes. After lunch at Fig Tree Arch, the trek continues through lighter forests, offering birdwatching opportunities and glimpses of colobus monkeys. By mid-afternoon, the Ash Cone comes into view, culminating with a stunning sunset at Miriakamba hut, marking the end of your second day with a 1000m ascent.

Day 3

Elephant Ridge Expedition

The third day begins with a challenging ascent from Miriakamba Hut to the saddle. Despite its brevity, the steep terrain can be demanding. Trekking through the captivating montane forest, we arrive at Elephant Ridge, known for its wildlife sightings. After a rest with stunning ridge views, we continue to Saddle Hut for an overnight stay. The summit of Little Meru is just a short climb away, a pivotal point in the Mount Meru trek.

Day 4

Summit: The Mt Meru Trek

After ascending 1000m each day prior, we maintain our early morning pace to ensure timely summiting. Passing Rhino Point to Cobra Point before sunrise offers breathtaking ridge views and morning mists. Continuing our ascent, a steep hour leads us to Mount Meru's summit. Clear days reveal unforgettable vistas. Descending to Saddle Huts for brunch, we proceed to Miriakamba Hut for the night, concluding another remarkable day on the Mount Meru trek.

Day 5

Back to Arusha

Descending from Miriakamba Hut, we trek back to Momella Gate, enjoying wildlife sightings en route. Lunch is arranged either at the gate or nearby, depending on conditions. After reaching Momella Gate, we transfer you to your lodge or hotel for an overnight stay.

Back to Home

After breakfast, we'll take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight home or to your next destination. Your Mount Meru trek ends here, leaving you with cherished memories of this adventure
