Day 1

Arriving at Kilimanjaro

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, begin your Kilimanjaro expedition with a transfer to a hotel in Moshi. As we opt for the scenic Lemosho route, closer to Moshi than Arusha, enjoy a 3-4-hour drive to Londorossi Gate, the route's starting point. Today, explore Moshi or unwind at the hotel before embarking on your trek.

Londorossi Gate to Big Tree Camp

On Day 2, embark on your Mount Kilimanjaro climb with a drive to Londorossi Gate, the starting point of the Lemosho route. After registration, we proceed to the Lemosho roadhead to begin hiking. Due to rough road conditions, a short hike may be necessary. After lunch, trek approximately 3 hours through lush forest to reach our first campsite, Big Tree or Mti Mkubwa. Overnight accommodation will be at the camp.

Head to Shira One Camp

After breakfast, depart from the lush rainforest of Big Tree camp. Traverse through heathlands as the landscape transitions to barren terrain. Ascend towards the mountain ridge leading to the Shira Plateau, offering panoramic vistas of Mount Meru and Kibo's volcanic cone. Descend slightly to the center of the plateau where Shira One Camp awaits, our lodging for the day.

Shira Trek Experience

Today is ideal for acclimatization on our Mount Kilimanjaro expedition, suitable for both beginners and veterans. Explore the Shira Plateau, trekking to Shira Cathedral summit. Later, settle at Shira Hut Camp for the night. Enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Meru, Kibo's dome, and the rugged plateau rim, ensuring an unforgettable experience.

Barranco Bound: The Lava Trek

On Day 5, continue acclimatizing by trekking from the Shira Plateau's moorlands to the Lava Tower. Descend from the tower junction into Barranco Valley, beneath the Western Breach glaciers. Capture stunning views of Kibo's glaciers and snowcaps, and the striking Barranco Wall. Spend the night at Barranco Camp, preparing for the next phase of our Mount Kilimanjaro adventure.

Journey to Karanga

Today, depart Barranco Camp for the next checkpoint on our Kilimanjaro trek. Ascend the steep Barranco Wall, possibly using hands for support, to reach the southeastern flank of Kibo. Enjoy panoramic views before continuing to Karanga Camp, our overnight stop. Streams and rivers along the route to camp mark the final water points before our ascent to the summit.

Serene Ascent to Barafu Camp

Today's route offers a serene ascent with scenic views of Karanga Valley and Rebmann Glacier. After crossing the final valley, we'll reach Barafu Camp, our resting place for the day. Prepare for an early night's rest here before our midnight summit ascent.

Descent from the Heights

At midnight, after light refreshments, we begin our steep ascent. With determination and a steady pace, reaching the summit is achievable. By sunrise, we reach Stella Point on Kibo's crater rim, taking in breathtaking views before continuing to Uhuru Peak. Marvel at glaciers and ice peaks as you ascend. After celebrating at the summit, descend swiftly to Barafu Camp for rest and refreshments.

Day 9

Descent from Summit to Serenity

Descending from Barafu, we trek through the rainforest to Mweka National Park gate. Here, we bid farewell to our mountain team. Our representative will transfer you to a hotel in Moshi for a well-deserved rest, complete with a comfortable bed and hot bath. After conquering one of Kilimanjaro's premier routes, enjoy the evening at your leisure.

Day 10

Flying back home

After breakfast, our representatives will escort you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight home or onward journey, concluding your trip. Wishing you a safe journey filled with beautiful photos and cherished memories from your trek to the Roof of Africa.
